Rob Hawking

Rob Hawking is a sales development professional with a track record for creating high revenue growth in container business. He has held senior roles with TAL International Container Corporation. He previously founded CG Capital Ltd, a finance and leasing broker company specializing in funding transport sectors, and earlier worked with Transamerica Leasing Corporation in various capacities. Mr Hawking is the owner of RH Consultancy which has been contracted by various companies in the container leasing sector.

Geoffrey Camilleri

Geoffrey is a Certified Public Accountant. After obtaining an Honours degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta in 2002, he joined the Assurance and Business Advisory division of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Malta. He then moved into industry and occupied governance and finance roles in Malta’s Middlesea Insurance Group, and later Gasan Group. He joined Hili Ventures Ltd in 2014 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2016. Geoffrey is also Director of Hili Properties, Hili Finance Company, 1923 Investments, Motherwell Bridge Industries, Hili Logistics, and ALLcom.

Valentin Truta

Valentin Truta is General Counsel at Hili Ventures, of which Cobalt is a subsidiary. He relocated to Malta from his home country Romania where he was General Counsel and Local Compliance Lead at Premier Restaurants Romania, the operator of all McDonald’s restaurants in the country. Prior to joining McDonald’s in Romania in 2010, Mr Truta enjoyed a successful legal career holding various senior roles. He graduated in Law from Nicolae Titulescu University in Bucharest and obtained his Master’s in Business Law a year later. He completed an Executive Management Programme at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany.

Ann Fenech

Ann Fenech is Managing Partner of leading Maltese law firm Fenech and Fenech Advocates, and the Head of the Marine Litigation Department. After qualifying in 1986 she joined the shipping and commercial firm of Holman Fenwick and Willan in London where she stayed until 1991 prior to joining Chaffe, McCall, Phillips Toler and Sarpy in New Orleans. Dr Fenech is the President of the Malta Maritime Law Association and lectures extensively on Maritime Law in Malta and overseas. She has written numerous articles which have been published internationally.

John Roberts

John Roberts has specialized in company law and corporate finance since 1979, acting for UK private companies and international public companies. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1968 after graduating LLB from the University of Liverpool with a First Class Honours. After a stint with the Law Commission, he joined London-based Goodman Derrick LLP in 1970. He was appointed partner with the firm in 1974, senior partner in 1998, and consultant in 2014. Dr Roberts is a former director of the English National Ballet, English National Ballet Enterprises Limited and Royal Southern Yacht Club Limited. He has been a director of The Borrow Foundation since 1992.
